Thank you The Broke and the Bookish for this wonderful Tuesday Meme
Hello fellow book readers! Today’s topic is one I am very excited about because I used to read a lot of stand alone novels in the past. There are so many books that I wish had sequels and I can now share with you all what they are. Below are the books Anjie and I wished had a sequel:
Veronica’s List:
1. The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart
2. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
3. Love Story by Jennifer Echols
4. Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson
5. Boundless by Cynthia Hand
Anjie’s List:
6. Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
7. The Host by Stephenie Meyer
8. Requiem by Lauren Oliver
9. Before I Go to Sleep by S.J Watson
10. The Guardian by Nicholas Sparks
Now, it’s your turn to share. What are some books you wish had a sequel?
Yes to requiem for sure and a true anna sequel would be so fun. And aren’t we all so glad that cassie clare is the craziest spin-off writer ever I know we’ll get more of will and jem one way or another
That is true. I’m sure we are going to get more Will and Jem, especially since she is writing another series involving Will’s children and the whole gang too.
Yes! A sequel to Boundless. I need more Tucker and I desperately want to know what happens with Christian. Does he get Clara in the end?
I’m the opposite, I need more Christian. I was unhappy with the way the series ended. That epilogue with Christian being MIA killed me.
The Host is planned to have two more books! I don’t know if this is a good or a bad thing, because I love the ending… Hopefully it will just explain more about how humanity recovers. I think that would be interesting 🙂
My Top Ten post 🙂
The Host is supposed to be a trilogy, but stephenie meyer hasn’t really given us anything for years so… I’m not crossing my fingers. I do hope we get at least another book, and I need to see how everything ends up working out.
I think she officially stated earlier this year that there is definitely going to be two more books. We’ll just have to wait and see if she means it, haha.
I’ve just ordered Boundless. I love the Unearthly series and I’m pretty sure that I’m going to be wanting more!
Good Luck! Boundless was a really good book. I wish the series was longer. Or that Cynthia Hand decided to do a spin off series. That would be marvelous!
Yes, I’d love to have more Unearthly and Amy & Roger. Great choices!
Yes, we do need more of Unearthly and that epic detour. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Great choices! I can’t believe I forgot The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks! I loved that book! I, too, would love to see a sequel of Anna and the French Kiss.
My TTT.
Haha, it happens. 🙂 I think we all want some more Anna and St. Clair. The companions aren’t enough.
I totally agree! They’re such a tease.
I look forward to starting Perkins’ books. 🙂 I think Requiem ended perfectly though.
My TTT
I like the sound of that. I’m sure you’ll love both of Perkins’ novels. They are marvelous. 🙂
We all need a whole lot Anna and Etienne in our lives!
My TTT List
Amen to that! 🙂
Great list! I’d love a sequel to Anna, The Host, Boundless, CP2 and Requiem!
TTT @ Eveline’s Books
Basically, all the good books need a sequel! 😀 Thanks for stopping by!
Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour and The Host is really quite popular in this week’s topic, for some reason I had always thought that The Host was going to be part of a series.
My TTT
There are rumors that The Host was going to be a trilogy but we haven’t heard anything from Stephenie Meyers in five years so… that’s still up for discussion. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
I haven’t read any of these yet, unfortunately. Thank you for sharing your picks!
My TTT.
That’s ok! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
I read Unearthly a couple of months ago and really liked it, but I still haven’t gotten around to reading the next two. The ending of Boundless must be pretty killer if you want a sequel XD Great list!
Hallowed and Boundless are very good and I suggest you pick them up soon. You won’t regret it! 😀 Thanks for stopping by!
I actually really disliked Love Story. I just didn’t like the main characters, or even the story that much. I still haven’t read Clockwork Princess. I’m so nervous. But I need to. Once I gather my courage. 🙂
Awwww, sad to hear you didn’t like Love Story. You should definitely read Clockwork Princess. You might regret a little, haha, but overall you will be very happy you did. 🙂
I haven’t read ANY of these, but I’m excited to read the story of Frankie Landeau Banks and am glad to hear people think it’s great enough to deserve a sequel! I can’t wait to get to it!
