I don’t remember the last time I updated y’all. Am I back? Will I actually stick with it this time around? Honestly… don’t know. Time will tell but as my comeback post, I will be sharing what I am currently reading.
I am definitely in an era of my life where I think I should know more about topics that I find important. I also just want to learn. Know more. Not be ignorant or uninformed due to my own actions… or inaction?
What I am reading right now that will probably take me an entire year to read is:
A People’s History of the United States by Howard Zinn.
I’ve only read 23 pages and I am already in shock. I remember some of this information from school but don’t think I was ever exposed to the stats of what actually occurred hundred of years ago in early USA days. If y’all want to know my thoughts or general reactions to what I read, I will be reporting out the old school way… via Goodreads reading status updates. So stay tuned for that.
The other books I am reading are A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J Maas, and Songbird of The Sorrows by Braidee Otto.
I am reading ACOSF for the sake of re-reading so I am ready for ACOTAR #6. Already asked for the day off from work on release day. This is going to be litty.
I checked out Songbird of The Sorrows from the library and am absolutely loving it. The city I reside in just created their own city library system and they have a lot of the new books which is a major plus for me.
Once I finish SoTS, I may post a review on it if it is impactful. I’m taking a new strategy when it comes to this book review blog and that is to only review the books that leave an impression on me. If y’all want to see the star ratings I leave on ALL of the books I read, you are welcome to look at my Goodreads profile.
Anyways that is all for this post. Until next…
