Mini Book Reviews #1

I’m starting a new series on here which I’m calling Mini-Reviews. Clever name right? Yeah, I know. I’m a genius. (The sarcasm is so strong.) The reason I’m starting this new series is because there are some books that I’ve read that I have things to say about them, but not enough to dedicate an entire post on them. Each Mini Review post will have 3 mini reviews. Here we go!

Mini Book Review: Open Road Summer by Emery Lord

openroadsummer_hires_cover no quote.jpg

Kayla over at The Thousand Lives almost threw the book at me and said READ IT! I, like the good best friend that I am (see what I did there) did, and let me tell you I’m glad she said I had to read this book. I fell in love with summer again. The last time I was in love with summer was the year 2012. I truly cannot believe this is Emery Lord’s debut novel. The writing is impeccable and wonderful. I loved the main characters voice and the sass, oh my, I freaking loved the sass. Also, Matthew is the perfect boyfriend. Can he be real, please? If you are looking for a heart-clenching [in a good way] summer contemporary, then this is the book for you. 100% recommend this book to anyone.

Mini Book Review: Coldest Girl in ColdTown by Holly Black

17333763

Vampires + Holly Black = perfection. What amazes me about this book is that it is a stand alone. I had never read a book that can build a new world, has all of the background information, action, plot twists, and just everything that we crave that is normally given to us in trilogies and series, in ONE book. Yes, you read that correctly. Holly Black does it all with one book. The ending satisfied me. This book does vampires justice and makes me sigh happily. These vampires can beat the crap out of any sparkly vampire’s butt.

Mini Book Review: Altered by Jennifer Rush

10859509

I saw polandbananasbooks book talk of Altered a long time ago and have been wanting to read it since. I went over to Kayla’s one day and saw that she had it in her possession. I of course begged her to let me take it home with me and she did. This book was not what I was expecting, and boy it was wonderful. I screamed, I jumped, and it stressed the heck out of me. The twists, the action, the science fiction nerdy-ness of it, I loved it all!

ARC Review: Don’t Even Think About It by Sarah Mlynowski

1379536238000-don-t-Even-think-about-itI was given an ebook copy through NetGalley by Random House via invitation for an honest review.

Goodreads Summary:

We weren’t always like this. We used to be average New York City high school sophomores. Until our homeroom went for flu shots. We were prepared for some side effects. Maybe a headache. Maybe a sore arm. We definitely didn’t expect to get telepathic powers. But suddenly we could hear what everyone was thinking. Our friends. Our parents. Our crushes. Now we all know that Tess is in love with her best friend, Teddy. That Mackenzie cheated on Cooper. That, um, Nurse Carmichael used to be a stripper.

Since we’ve kept our freakish skill a secret, we can sit next to the class brainiac and ace our tests. We can dump our boyfriends right before they dump us. We know what our friends really think of our jeans, our breath, our new bangs. We always know what’s coming. Some of us will thrive. Some of us will crack. None of us will ever be the same.
So stop obsessing about your ex. We’re always listening.

Review:

This may be the shortest review I have ever written. We’ll see.

I have never DNF’ed a book. NEVER. Anyone can go through my reviews and see that I have read through all of them, even those that I disliked. My goal is to give my readers, authors, and publishers a fair review of a book. A honest review.

Originally, I was excited when I received an invitation to read this book. I’ve heard great things about Sarah and I was thrilled to finally read something by her. The plot of the story sounded very interesting which is why I said, YES, SIGN ME UP.

I tried reading it on three different occasions. I only reached about 10-15% of the story before I quit. Each time I started to read it, I couldn’t get a feel for the characters and the protagonist. There was just something that wasn’t clicking and even annoyed me. I feel absolutely horrible saying such negative things about this book, but I honestly couldn’t get past everything that annoyed me.

I try my best to read the entire book so that I can give both the good and the bad of a book. One of my goals is to always find something good about the book, even if the rating is a 1 or 2. I make it my mission to give reasons as to why I dislike a book if I do.

Today is a weird day on The Talking Bookworm because I can do neither. Here is my first DNF review and hopefully it will be my last.

ARC Review: Worth The Wait by Laura Jackson

9781938708268I was gifted a ebook in exchange for an honest review by HopeSprings Books through NetGalley.

Goodreads Summary:

Ellie Lansing has a picture-perfect life with a close-knit family and the perfect boyfriend. But her world is suddenly knocked off center when her drool-worthy boyfriend cheats, and her always-has-it-together mother is diagnosed with cancer. Ellie doesn’t get it. She always does the right thing—doesn’t God owe her a happy life? Through her heartache, Ellie learns that sometimes what seems like the end is really just the beginning and that what God has for us is always worth the wait.

Review:

Let me first start of by saying that this a Young Adult Christian Novel. This book is big on Christian morals and values. Now with that out of the way, let me get on with the review.

When I think of Worth The Wait in edible form (FOOD) I think of a fluffy angel cake. It’s sweet, it’s light, it’s fun. I would say this is chick flick material right here. At the beginning of the book I didn’t like Ellie at all. She was very annoying and actually made me dread to read the rest of the book because I thought to myself Is this the protagonist I’m getting stuck with?! Ugh. But overtime that annoying side to her started to fade away, and we finally saw why she was the way she was. CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT PEOPLE.

There were times where I loved Laura’s writing, and at others it felt a little forced and weird. The main issue I had with the novel was how quickly the tone changed at times that my reaction went a little like this: WAIT WHAT’S GOING ON. I THOUGHT WE WERE HAPPY. NOW WE’RE MAD. OKKKKAAAAYYYYY.

But honestly, there is more good than bad. Worth The Wait is Laura Jackson’s first published novel and I say for a first novel it is freaking good. Additionally, I really liked that HopeSprings Books, her publisher, let her write the novel in a different formula. In a lot of the big christian publishing houses tend to prefer a certain style of writing, and if you write in that type of style, great for you, but if you don’t, you aren’t getting published. At least that’s what someone told me from their personal experience.

I know my rating may leave some of you weary, wondering if you should pick up this book or not, and I say do it. It has its beautiful moments where you will get teary-eyed. I know the story sounds a little cliche from the summary, but give it a chance. It’s one of those worth reading cliche—type books.

Book Review: Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

81rCityicgL._SL1500_

Goodreads Summary:

At twenty-two years old, aspiring musician Sydney Blake has a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her good friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter cheating on her with Tori—and she is left trying to decide what to do next.

Sydney becomes captivated by her mysterious neighbor, Ridge Lawson. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the daily guitar playing he does out on his balcony. She can feel the harmony and vibrations in his music. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either: He seems to have finally found his muse. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one…

My Initial Thoughts:

All I knew was that Colleen Hoover is an author loved by many and that a few of my book tumblr friends were going crazy about it. So I bought it and thought to my self “My Body is Ready!”

Review:

tumblr_inline_ml88od3Tl81qz4rgp

Oh My Freaking Gosh. This Book. I just can’t. Dead.

Those are my fangirling thoughts of the book. Yes, it is as good as everyone says it is. Yes, it will leave you in a puddle of feels. Yes, it brings up a lot of issues that you are dealing with or makes you deal with them. This book is a music lovers dream come true.

First off, let me just say that I FREAKING loved that this was an interactive book and that every single one of the songs that was is in the book EXISTS. The songs were made especially for the BOOK. I have been spoiled and I want every book to be an interactive experience because it just made everything ten times better.

Secondly, two of the characters in the story had disabilities and they were not seen as less or inferior. They were portrayed as normal. NORMAL. I absolutely loved that Ms. Hoover addressed the fact that people who are deaf or that have any other disability are NORMAL. They are not different. They are human too. The social activist in me was just bursting with joy.

Third, I want to address the fact that the main female character, Sydney, is written as a strong female character. She finds out her boyfriend cheats on her and she breaks up with him and is all like GOODBYE WE AINT NEVAH EVAH GONNA BE TOGETHER AGAIN. When things get complicated between her and someone else (cough*my new secret lover*cough), she takes control of the situation and says BACK OFF I NEED SPACE and not only do we see a FEMALE character that says it, but we see a MALE character that LISTENS to what she wants.

applause2

Fourth, I want to say that I LOVED that this didn’t have sexy times (well except for that one scene towards the end, but it’s not really described soooo I don’t count it). Not everyone that is in college is having sex all the time or with a person they just met. I was so happy that this book was not “teens + lots of sex” like a lot of NA books out there that I shall not name. This was Young Adults in College + life issues = NA. THANK YOU COLLEEN HOOVER THANK YOU!

(Honestly, I have nothing against NA when it’s done right. I personally don’t like reading sexy times, but when people use the NA genre as an excuse to write a million sex scenes and hardly any plot lines, it pisses me off. Isn’t the erotica genre for that? Why do you have to go and RUIN a genre for me. Sigh. Okay, Rant over.)

(December 2022 Edit: Oh young naive little me in her early twenties that did not like reading about sexy times aka sex. This is hilarious to me now as someone who is married and in her early thirties. Totally okay with SMUT now but I will leave what I said above to keep the integrity of this review, and also to showcase that people can change and it is perfectly okay to do so as you grow older.)

The plot of the book was great. The plot lines were all believable. We had a ton of character development not just in the main characters, but in the secondary characters as well throughout the entire novel. There was also a good balance between the heavy moments and the lighter moments. Really I can’t say one bad thing about this book.

So my last suggestion to you is…

Life + Book Blogging = Cannot Compute

tumblr_m30eydyOvd1r8pxv5o1_r1_500

I’ve been meaning to talk about this for a while. I feel really bad that I haven’t been able to post a lot of reviews and such on this blog for the past couple of weeks. Ever since I started my new job in February at a non-profit organization my life has been CRAZY. Working part-time (or full-time some weeks), and going to school half time leaves me with little time, and the little time that I do have, I use it to sleep or mindlessly watch youtube videos (cause I canceled netflix. I KNOW. I regret it now).

I have tried to read and at times I fail because I’m just too exhausted to concentrate on the story unfolding before me. The few books I have read, I don’t have enough to say about the book to justify a review. I’m finally catching up on my ARCs though (sort of).

All of this is to say please bear with me until the end of May. After May school is over and while I will be working full-time, I no longer have to worry about going to my night classes, doing homework, and all that school shenanigans.

I will be back! I promise! I just have to figure out this life stuff first and I’m all yours!

I will be posting stuff while I’m still in school, it’s just going to be all over the place. No set schedule at all. 🙂

Los Angeles Times Book Festival 2014

Hello Everyone!

Two weekends ago, The Los Angeles Times hosted a Book Festival at USC, in Los Angeles, California. As someone who was originally going to go last year, but college got in the way, now that I am out of college I was excited to finally have the opportunity to go!

I only went one day out of the two day festival. I bought the fancy VIP pass thing (I totally forgot the name of the pass… Oops!) so that I would be able to get my talk-tickets in advance before they went out on sale to the general public. I feel like a snob because I was able to do that, but oops, too late. 😉

2014-04-12 10.58.06

Kayla and I went together on Saturday, and boy was it an adventure. I picked her up bright and early around 7:40 so that we could get an early start and avoid some of the LA morning rush (Yes, LA has a rush even on Saturdays). After driving a little under three hours we arrived at USC.

We arrived later than we wanted too, so we made an executive decision and we decided to hit the vendor and exhibitor tables after the Testing The Boundaries in YA Literature panel which featured the moderator and author Aaron Hartzler, and author panelists Rainbow Rowell, E. Lockhart, Adam Smith, and John Corey Whaley.

2014-04-12 12.00.28-2

This panel was fantastic! Each author talked about pushing the boundaries in different ways in literature. Rainbow Rowell with social anxiety issues, E. Lockhart with medical and interracial relationships, Adam Smith with horny giant mantis’ (and that is one book I won’t be reading), and John Corey Whaley with a story about a teen that gets his head frozen and comes back later with a new body. Freaky stuff right? The panelists all seemed to be friends which helped with the atmosphere of the panel and the room. The amount of thought that went into each answer was incredible and Kayla and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

After the panel, Kayla and I headed to the Rainbow Rowell signing. I was so bummed that I forgot to bring my E. Lockhart books, but I’ll get them signed next year. We waited for hours in that line and at the end we have a signature in our book, and a sunburn on our necks to show our perseverance.

After lunch and little bit of wandering around, we split up and I went to the Adrenaline Rush panel at the YA Stage.

2014-04-12 16.05.18

The Adrenaline Rush Panel started at 4:30pm. I was blessed with Aaron Hartzler’s presence once again as a moderator (He is a really good moderator and his personality just shines, so I was thrilled!) and the author panelists were Lauren Oliver, Abby McDonald (representing Abigail Hass, one of her pen names), Stephanie Kuehn, and Sarah Skilton. Each author’s book dealt with “adrenaline” one way or another. Panic by Lauren Oliver is about teens entering a life-threatening game, Dangerous Girls by Abigail Hass (Abby McDonald) is about a teenage girl who gets framed for her best friends’ murder, High and Dry by Sarah Skilton is about a boy who gets framed for a near-fatal drug over dose of a peer, and Charm and Strange by Stephanie Kuehn is about a boy who thinks he is a monster.

2014-04-12 16.33.40

The panel’s discussion was fantastic that I didn’t even notice I got more sunburned as I sat for another hour in the sun. The authors were so kind and answered all of the questions thrown at them—even questions not about the panel—but about being a author in general and their journeys to where they are today. After the panel was over, it was signing time! I was able to get one of my Abby McDonald books signed. She is such a sweetheart and I absolutely love her. I was also able to get Pandemonium signed by Lauren Oliver. Ms. Oliver is so funny and great. She said she hated worms, but would keep my blog business card anyways. At first I didn’t understand why she was telling me she was afraid of worms, but she would keep my business card anyways, and then it dawned on me my blog name is TALKING BOOKWORM. Talk about a fail moment right there.

Earlier when I was wandering the vendor booths before the panel, I found a signed copy of TFIOS in the Young Readers Penguin Booth Store. I was absolutely thrilled! Veronica 1, John Green Signing line 0.

2014-04-12 23.11.14 2014-04-12 23.11.25

Overall, it was a great experience and something I would love to do again!

Book Review: Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth

allegiant-book-cover-high-res

Goodreads Summary:

The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.

But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.

My Initial Thoughts:

Oh Dear Lord, I was hesitant. Why? Because I was afraid of what might happen. I was also super excited at the same time because Four. We are having his POV. Made my day really.

Review:

I have no clue how to start this except with a GIF.

IMHAVINGANEMOTION

I seriously don’t understand why people are bashing this book. Yes, it is super hard to read. Yes, it has a lot of politics. Yes, it is full of feels. When I read Divergent, or for that matter any dystopian book, I know politics will be involved. Why? Because it is a story about a dystopia, “An imagined place or state in which everything is unpleasant or bad, typically a totalitarian or environmentally degraded one.” (Source: Oxford Dictionary) That to me screams FAILED GOVERNMENT. The government will take precedence a good amount of the time. The Divergent Trilogy isn’t about Tris & Four, it’s about the world they live in, and we are experiencing everything through them. Yes, it is also about them, but in a dystopian novel, the world and the characters both have equal importance.

I think Allegiant was perfectly written. I cannot see another ending that will have the same impact as the ending it has had on us. Roth did a brilliant job bringing us full circle, tying everything neatly with a bow. In Divergent and Insurgent, she set the stage and left us confused as heck. She made a story that was big to begin with, even bigger. That is why we were all gasping for air at the end of Insurgent. We did not see that coming. At least I didn’t.

Allegiant had such a big job to do. It had to not only wrap up the initial world we were given, but also the new one we were pushed into at the end of Insurgent. It had to not only intensify Tris & Four’s relationship, but also every other characters as well. Allegiant had such an enormous task, and I am happy to say it did it all.

I am blown away by this book. I can only consider it Grade A literature. This right here is some good stuff. I personally may not be happy with how some characters were killed off, but the impact it had on me and the message it came with it balanced out my negative feelings.

I know everyone is spoiling Allegiant, and I will be one of the few that won’t. All I can say is, take Allegiant for what it is and what it is accomplishing. Don’t let your ship get in the way of the message and the well-crafted story.

Alternate Reality Giveaway: The Post Apocalyptic World

Alternate Reality Giveaway

When I was in middle school, there were two types of books I loved to read and one of them was the “Post Apocalyptic World” type. The Post Apocalyptic sub-genre exists within the dystopian genre. Today, I am going to talk about why I love this sub genre the most, and why it attracts so many of us.

First, I want to start of by giving you a definition of the word apocalyptic. We all have some idea of what is it, but I wanted to find a universal definition. What does apocalyptic mean then? It means “Describing or prophesying the complete destruction of the world” or something “Momentous or catastrophic” (Source: Oxford Dictionary). Now, a post apocalyptic book would be a book after a war that destroys the world. There are several series today that can fit in some way or form in this sub genre. Those are The Divergent Trilogy, The 5th Wave Trilogy, The Testing Trilogy, and a couple more. A lot of the series I’ve mentioned have been in the New York Times Best Seller List, have been made into movies, or a film company has bought the movie rights. This sub genre is very big in our day in age and I think I know why.

The Post Apocalyptic stories give us survival stories. We like to believe that even if the world would come to an end, some of us would survive. The stories within this genre are inspiring. They give us hope. They empower us, making us feel like we too can do brave, life-altering things. These stories give us hope in humanity, that even though some destroyed it, there are a few who can restore once again. This sub genre brings out the best and worst in human nature, and for some reason, we love to see that.

I myself love these type of stories because they empower me to be stronger. There are so many horrible things happening around the world today, that sometimes it feels like some of the stories I read will become reality. The stories in this sub genre give me hope for the future. They provide not only prove me with entertainment, but a view into what might happen if that event or war occurred. I know some of you may say “Veronica, this is fiction we are taking about,” and I totally agree with you, but a “human being” is writing the fiction. I think that says a lot more than we sometimes want to think it says.

I initially thought I was going to write a fun post about the Post Apocalyptic sub-genre, but this is what came out instead. Oops.

So tell me, why do you love to read stories in the Post-Apocalyptic World sub-genre? or the Dystopian genre in general?

Alternate Reality Giveaway: The Survey

Alternate Reality Giveaway

This wonderful two week giveaway is slowly coming to an end, but fear not it is not over yet, and we have something fun for you. It’s “Let’s Read Survey with Snarky Commentary”. The snarky commentary was provided by Kayla at The Thousand Lives. So enjoy my fangirling and Kayla’s snark. And PLEASE tell me what you would answer. I would love to know!

Favorite Sci Fi book/series?
This is a hard one because I hardly ever read sci-fi…. but if I had to pick one it would be the Obsidian Series.

K: I know what I need to do this year.

Favorite Sci Fi Trope?
This is what happens when I make questions for Kayla’s entertainment. I dug myself into a whole and now I can’t answer this question because I am in no way familiar with sic fi.

K: You know that bookshelf of mine you were hugging? You two are about to become very intimate with one another. I have an entire sci-fi shelf calling your name.

If you could live in a science fiction world that exists in one of the books you’ve read, which one would it be?
I would totally live in the obsidian series world cause it is just like our world but there are some hot aliens in that world.

K: Hot aliens? I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE

Is there a trope you hate to see in sci fi?
I guess it would be the EARTH IS IN DANGER FROM ALIENS thing. It probably isn’t s trope, but I feel like that’s all people think about when they hear sic-fi, and it isn’t all just that. Even I know that.

K: BUT THAT’S THE BEST KIND OF SCI-FI. WHAT is wrong with you??? Okay maybe not the “danger from aliens” is always fantastic but if there are no aliens in sci-fi then something’s gone very wrong. HELLO – Star Trek and Star Wars??

Who is your favorite male character in the YA dystopian genre? Why?
Oh dear… so many to pick from! Let me think… All I can think about is Four and no one compares. Four is a fighter and he respects others. He doesn’t want to just be labeled as one thing, but he wants to encompass it all. This is why he tattooed all five factions on his back. He is fiercely loyal and is just….ughhhh. He is also hot. Just had to mention that. (THEO JAMES <3)

K: He could have any kind of tattoo and I’d be cool with it as long as his shirt is off.

Who is your favorite female character in the YA dystopian genre? Why?
AWWW YEAH. Finally something I can talk about. Maybe because I just saw the Divergent movie, but at the moment it would be TRIS. Tris is just… so dynamic and she grows so much and she is in control of the relationships in her life and when she says no, people (*cough*four*cough) respects it.

K: Okay I kind of purposely put a different answer on mine because I knew I was being swayed by the movie. BUT THAT SCENE WHERE SHE CHASES THE TRAIN!!! I can’t get it out of my head it’s so amazing.

If you were told to pick between the following four dystopian worlds to live in, which one would you choose, Divergent, The Hunger Games, The Testing, or Under the Never Sky? Why?
Oh my gosh I forgot that while I was setting up Kayla, I also set myself up. Danget. Okay. I would pick Divergent. Why?  Because I could have a higher chance of surviving, and DAUNTLESS.

K: DAUNTLESS

Out of all of the guys you ship yourself with, which is THE fictional boyfriend?
ADRIAN IVASHKOV

K: Wow, really? I did not see this coming. I mean, I am completely blown away. I need to go rethink our friendship if I didn’t know this about you.

Do you prefer Fantasy mixed with another genre or pure, unadulterated Fantasy (aka High Fantasy)? Why?
I prefer Fantasy mixed with another genre. I discovered the fantasy genre through a like dystopian/fantasy hybrid. If you’re not a fantasy fan, reading a mixed genre book before reading high fantasy is the way to go. Think of it as the gateway drug. I had tried to read high fantasy novels before, but couldn’t. After reading a mixed genre one, I read a whole bunch of high fantasy and enjoyed it.

K: Dystopian/fantasy hybrid? Which one is that? Also I now feel like a drug dealer. “Come on kid, just try a bit of Percy Jackson and then I’ll get you the good stuff.”

Favorite Fantasy novel so far in 2014?
I don’t think I’ve read a fantasy novel in 2014. I even checked goodreads.

K: FAILURE. I DENOUNCE YOU AS HEIR TO MY BOOKSHELVES.

Angels or Half Angels?
Angels always.

K: Okay you’ve redeemed yourself.

Vampires or Werewolves?
Vampires. Done.

K: But if Ivashkov was a werewolf…

Favorite Paranormal novel?
Again… I totally unintentionally set myself up. I am going to pick….. SHADOW KISS by Richelle Mead. It’s the third book in the series. Yes, I am a masochist when it comes to books.

K: That wasn’t even the hard one! Oh wait now I remember oh dear god that one. But Blood Promise was pretty hard to get through too!

Which paranormal world would you live in if you had to pick one? Why?
Even though I think I would be scared I say the Vampire Academy one because Adrian Ivashkov would exist.

K: Should I just get you a life-size cardboard cutout? Flat Adrian?

If you were more than human, what would you choose to be? (Any being from a fantasy, sci fi, or paranormal novels)
A DHAMPHIR. done.

K: Again, completely stunned at this answer. NEVER saw it coming. Could I be your royal Moroi? I’d like some water magic please and thank you.

What faction would you choose if you were a part of the Divergent world? Why?
I’m totally not going to surprise Kayla and go with Dauntless. At times I may be such a scaredy cat, but when it comes to the people I love, I become fiercely loyal and defend them with everything. Once my friend and I were at Huntington Beach and I had to go to the bathroom. It was around 7pm and I told my friend wait outside, let me go quickly. I was literally only 2 minutes inside and when I came out, two guys were scaring my friend and trying to convince her to go with them. She kept saying no and looked terrified. I marched over furious and when the two men saw me, it seemed like they were going to say something, but then saw the look on my face and looked terrified. I told them, “What do you want!” Then surprisingly enough, they ran away. I didn’t even fear for my life, I feared for hers and nothing was going to happen to her on my watch. Afterward my friend said, “You should have seen your face. It said murder. I was even scared for them.” After that she felt totally safe with me. Haha. At times I can also get a little crazy and do things that are totally not safe. So overall, Dauntless would be hard, but I would totally fit in. Just need to get the muscle. HAHAHA

K: Okay A) the bathrooms at Huntington are DISGUSTING. B) I think you may have beaten my time for quickest bathroom run – though my sprint during Divergent was pretty epic if I do say so myself. TWO flights of stairs, plus across a lobby, all in five minutes. BAM. C) No crotch shot? I think that would have done the trick too. Back up that death glare with some muscle woman! D) I have a feeling you’d be the one dragging me through the physical tests of Dauntless initiation, and I’d do well with the mental tests.
