This week for Top Ten Tuesday is all about the Top Book Related Problems We Have. This is tough one because I have a ton of bookish problems, but also I am in denial. I feel like I’m at the shrink’s or something.
#1 I buy books without reading the back because I’ve loved one book I’ve read of X author.
I do this a lot more than I did before. I use to spend hours browsing at the bookstore and that helped with the whole let’s read the back and the first three pages to see if I want to buy it. Now I see something online and buy it. I might have to start doing the whole bookstore thing again.
#2 I buy books because they are extremely cheap and then I forget about them
Two summers ago Go Hastings was the place to shop online for really inexpensive in really good condition used books. So I bought over 20 and I’ve only read a handful of them. I stopped shopping there when their free shipping thing went away. It was probably for the best.
#3 When I read a really good book, I have a tons of feels so my initial reaction is to NOT post a review. I justify it by saying no one wants to read a fangirl rant. No one…
#4 I have found the true love of my life, but he’s fictional. Do you know how big of a problem it is that Adrian Ivashkov doesn’t exist! *cries*
What are some of your bookish problems?
I totally feel your pain with #4. It’s such a struggle, what I would give to be Sydney lol
I know me too. Man I can’t wait to read the Ruby Circle. So sad I wont be seeing Adrian anymore after that. 😦
Omg! I can’t believe I forgot the whole love of my life not existing! (I’m so sorry Will!). Oh man Go Hastings! That free shipping being gone probably was for the best haha. We used to shop there all the time!
Hahaha man I know it probably was for the best hahaha
I guess but still hahah
Such a relatable list! The love of our lives not existing is such a problem! 😦
Right?!
Great list ! But i have to say, for the #3, share your feelings about it ! It may seem like fangirling, but I’m having a great time reading this kind of enthousiastic reviews, makes me want to check out the book even more! 🙂
You can check out my list if you have some time : http://wp.me/p5pugy-6h 🙂
Yes for sure about #1. I’d really like to go back to the time where I could walk in with ZERO opinions preconceived and just pick a book for the heck of it.
I still can 😛
I have the same problem with my fictional soul mate. Richard Campbell Gansey III just does not exist, at least that is what my brain is telling me. My heart say something else entirely.
Amen to buying discounted books but forgetting about them. It also doesn’t help that sometimes mood reading conflicts with the interests of actually getting around to reading them!
Cheers,
Joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts.
Number 3 and 4 are such a struggle lol #3 is happening to me right now with Shatter Me! The feels! haha
